The entire band continues with Auld Lang Syne, which builds to an exciting and dramatic conclusion. The clarinets begin an elongated version of Auld Lang Syne, accompanied by the flutes playing Scotland the Brave. The beautiful Ca' the Ewes to the Knowes is first orchestrated for brass choir, then woodwind choir, then full band.
The flutes and alto saxophones are then featureed in a contrapuntal excerpt from the Scots reel, I Wish You Would Marry Me Now.
